Description

This cage design allows for the mounting of aircraft instruments from the front of the panel without necessitating any changes to the panel or instrument design. It is made from non-magnetic materials (the speed nut is brass, and the cage is phosphor bronze) and conforms to MIL-N-3336 standards.

The cage can be easily compressed with finger pressure, facilitating the insertion of the legs into the clearance holes. Once fully inserted and the pressure is released, the legs spring apart, keeping the speed nut in the correct position for receiving a screw. The turned-down corners provide stability against the forces of inserting the screw and the tightening torque.

All instrument mounting nuts specified below are compatible with a 6-32 machine screw.

**Additional Information:**

While the thread size is consistent across each nut, the thickness of the instrument bezels may vary from gauge to gauge. The nuts are inserted from the back and feature ears that slide into a groove between the front and back bezels, securely holding the nuts in place.
